Course Overview
​
Controlled Solutions Group offer courses to learners claiming Job Seekers Allowance or Universal Credit. The course is designed to enable candidates to gain employment in the security industry and the wider sports and leisure sector.

Benefits/Outcomes
On completion of the course candidates will have gained the necessary qualifications to apply for an SIA Licence, and to carry out the general duties of a steward at venues across the UK. Candidates will also study Work Skills sessions to improve their chances of successfully applying for roles that best suit their qualifications and chosen career path.
Progression
Candidates who successfully complete the course will be offered the opportunity to work for CSG on a casual basis. Candidates can progress to a trainee-ship or apprenticeship programme to further enhance their qualifications and employment prospects.

The qualifications candidates will complete are:

BTEC Level 1 Certificate in Work Skills

NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Spectator Safety

SIA Level 2 Door Supervisors Award

Fire Safety Awareness

Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Awareness
Course Duration/Delivery
​
The duration of the course is 4 weeks with candidates attending for 4 days per week. The course is delivered at our training centre, based at Old Trafford, and is a blend of e-learning and classroom delivery. As part of the course, candidates will undergo assessment in the work place and will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced staff members at Manchester United Football Club.
Eligibility
The course is available to anyone claiming Job Seekers Allowance or Universal Credit.
Certification
Certification is provided through AIM Awards and HABC.
